Putting the fun back in dysfunctional.
Updated books page, retailer delays and lice … oh my
Checking my stats and how people found my page. Amusing that I still get a good chunk of hits from “canning and FSOG“.
Anyway, someone came to the site looking for the order of the Up in Flames series and I realized I only had one page set up for any books and the only book on the page was Second Chance Romance. I’d love my own website, but until I have time to set one up, which will happen about the same time Sunshine Boy goes to Kindergarten, it’s just not going to happen. I know I could hire someone, but I”m not that type of person. I’m a control freak. Tho there is someone I know who might be able to help me …. cue the earwig of Sunshine boy whining “help me help me”. I think he only does it a dozen times a day.
So I changed the page to contain all the books with descriptions (no covers because I can barely keep my eyes open right now) in the order they meant to be read.
I was mucking around in Smashwords and I found the following regarding new books being “shipped to retailers:
Shipment Schedules (updated October 3, 2012 to note that shipments are subject to retailer-imposed backlogs or delays)
This means it could be ages before Love Can’t Wait and When Love Knocks are on B&N. (Someone emailed the other day). Let’s see what happens first, LCW and WLK up on Barnes and Noble or this next novel gets written.
And last but not least, we had to run to the city to have my son’s teeth to be looked at it. (We get to have dental surgery in December). Princess had to go elsewhere after school and then she brought home the gift that keeps giving: lice. I’ve never had this before. Ever. Didn’t really enjoy it. This morning only she had, by the evening everyone else had some. So we doused ourselves, combed our hair til I think I rethinned mine 30%. (I have insanely thick hair). I think I washed 4 loads of laundry today. Hot water, hot dryer. Several more to to do tomorrow.
Now I’m going to see if I can fall back into the dream I had the other night when I climbed into Sam Merlotte’s bed. If the high school marching band hadn’t interrupted we could have a very nice second go around with him.
